Wooden Indoor Environments’ Restorativeness

The sensitivity and interest toward well-being health inside work living environments is constantly growing. Wood perceived as a natural material by people its presence in room generally induces beneficial effects on human beings. In this research, two real-sized identical wood not-wood rooms have been built to study the psychological of wooden indoor environment attention recovery restorativeness. After multisensory evaluation different kind materials used housing, participants were asked evaluate then perform an test times, interspersed with pause one rooms. results show that samples are more appreciated than all other attentional resources’ recovery. These findings bring new insights interaction between beings environments. This knowledge should be taken into account design or renovation buildings architects builders.
